Madison at Jawhawk Night

March 1st, Madison was so excited to go to Jayhawk Night, in Long Beach, CA. The University of Kansas had planned an event for future students and prospects from the Southern California region. It was all very official and she had to pre-register to attend. We of course had planned on attending the event since the middle of January...we had registered right away! The event was at the Hotel Maya.
It was so fun to walk up to the registration table, knowing that they were all from Kansas!
Of course, as soon as we signed in and headed up the stairs to the presentation hall and conference room, we were greeted by the very first information table...Greek Life. Madison is pretty excited and has been planning to join a sorority since she was about 12 years old haha. This gal was SUPER cool and offered a lot more info on the school than just Greek life.
We stopped at lots of different info tables: financial aid, housing, and school of business, to name a few. Then we headed into the conference room for a presentation with university representatives, student speakers, and a video presentation.
Guess who ended up showing up at the event? Yes...Baby Jay!
After the presentations, Madison couldn't help but bump into the famous minihawk. She had to take advantage of the photo op! Baby Jay was up to some tricks, pulling the whole "rabbit ear fingers" at the last minute...
Madison had a few more questions for the housing rep. I think she has settled on wanting a 4 person room in Ellsworth Hall.
Stay tuned to see what happens! We are working so hard to secure the finances she'll need to attend KU as a Jayhawk in my home state!
